Let's speak health a little bit...

British parliamentarians have recently published
a report  requesting their citizens not to drink alcohol
at least two days a week.

The current UK recommendations, which are higher
than those of most countries require that men should not regularly
drink more than three to four units of alcohol a day
and that women should not drink more than two to three units.

These tips have been revised in the 1990s
to move from weekly recommendations to daily recommendations
after research had shown that alcohol consumption
could reduce the risk of coronary heart disease.

To be precise and clearer, in the UK, a unit of alcohol is half a pint (284 ml) of beer
or a glass (175 ml) of wine or 25 ml of 40% alcohol.)

In France, the organisation "Vin et Société" (literaly "Wine & Society"),
is struggling for a smart and epicurian way of consuming wine

They recommend three glasses maximum per day for a man,
and two maximum for a woman (unfair...), and one day of abstinence per week.

They wrote a manifest we can approve and sign on their website:

"In a glass of wine, there is a little geology, geography
work, precision, expertise, transmission,
and especially education and history.
Treat the wine only as an alcoholic beverage is despite History,
make "a slurry with statistical culture".

It is as calculated in kilograms Monet painting and Ravel in decibels.
The wine invites us to exercise our sense faculties.
Discover it in all its diversity, the taste, drink and appreciate,
with its head and its meaning can be learned and it is shared.

That is why we are advocates of education
the only way to fight against the Excess
that degrade physically and morally. "

The team of BordeauxSpeakinWine totally approves this speech,
let's enjoy and taste our delicious wine with responsability
...and a good meal.

Cheers
